How can I get my Wii online outside of a wireless connection?

Search Gaming or Gadget Information (i.e “Xbox 360″)

For some reason I get an error message when I try to connect my Wii (or DS) online. . . How do I do a wired connection to the internet on the Wii? What will I need to buy to get online? And where do I buy it? A gaming store or a computer/internet store?

What is the difference between the xbox 360 wireless adapter and the xbox live wireless adapter?

I have an xbox 360 , Can I use the xbox live wireless adapter that comes in a black box. Or do I have to shell out the extra money and get the little white one in the clear plastic packaging?
